Inspired by the Faustus myths, where a mortal tries to summon a demon only to become its pawn, I thought 'would a demon ever try to summon a mortal?' Using the increasingly common concept of a bird demon, this slightly surreal piece depicts just such a ritual, at the moment of casting.
